Equipment needed.

• Deep Garden Tray
• Tank
• Flood & Drain Valves
• 16mm Pipe
• 500lp/h Pump
• Segment Timer
• Clay Pebbles

Method.

1. Drill two holes in the deep garden tray to the size of the valves, attach some 16mm pipe to the inlet valve.
2. Place Garden tray over the tank and attach the pipe to your pump.
3. Fill the tank with water and the tray two thirds full with clay pebbles.
4. Set the segment timer to come on 15 mins every 4 hours (this is for young plants, increase the timings as the plants get older and need more food. See our Flood & Drain article).

That is essentially it, just make sure you place your rockwool cubes/pots so that they are not submerged completely during the flood cycle.
