Request for assistance in Senegal
Our assistance has been requested in Senegal. Our friends who helped us achieve success in the Cambodia girls school have now been able to establish a free healing centre in Senegal, West Africa. Its all up and running and they want our help to design an aquaponic grow system there. Conditions are said to be a bit dry there but do have access to water so we are hoping the same design we intended to use in Gaza will be suitable. We were unable to use it as intended as access to that area of the world is very restricted at this time.

Springfield Park
We are currently working the friends of springfield park group to expand the community growing project into the park. Much has been achieved in the park in recent years due to the determination of the friends group and the Rangers, we hope to carry on improving the park with the continued support of Matthew moss high school and the friends group by adding community/school growing areas.

Fish are Incredibly Edible too
Following their outstanding success planting edible crops in public spaces Incredible Edible as a part of their outreach work to schools have devoted a room entirely for the purpose of demonstrating aquaponics and have approached us for assistance in the setup.
As well as the work they are already doing, we are hoping to install an aquaponics propagation tank, which is popular with schools, as well as building and advising on some more advanced systems. It is our aim to establish links to more schools and groups in the area.

Growers ARC on the horizon
Plans for an Aquaponics Research Centre (ARC) received the go ahead this week. We are receiving increasing requests for courses and are encountering a growing demand for research which cannot be carried out on the bus. We have now secured a site for our aquaponics research and training facility and subject to available funding we will now be able to expand the work we have done on the original growers ARC which is a double decker bus.
